Understanding Fire Sprinklers Plan Review

• Class Description
  • A training course that explores beyond the basics of fire sprinkler system.
  • This two-day class (1.2 CEU) describes and examines the requirements for a fire sprinkler system. The function and use of the different fire sprinkler system components will be investigated, which includes; piping, valves, fitting, and sprinkler heads.
  • Additionally plans, calculations and construction documents will be reviewed for compliance and frequent issues.
  • Included in this survey will be determining how each component operates and how they work together to extinguish a developing fire, as well as other related functions such as alarm activation.

• Learning Objectives
  • Students successfully completing the Understanding Fire Sprinkler  Systems Advanced course will:        
  • Identify which standard is applicable to be designed too.
  • When provided with a floor plan the student will analyze the plan for proper coverage for sprinkler spacing.
  • Determine the design density requirements for differing occupancy classifications.
  • Identify fire sprinkler systems testing requirements.
