Course Description/Learning Objectives:
The 2018 Life Safety Code provides a flexible approach adapting to the nontraditional use of buildings; innovative designs; and new technologies, materials, and construction practices. This two day class provides the basic requirements of the Life Safety Code including any occupancy -- from assembly to health care, industrial, and residential, egress, sprinklers, alarms, emergency lighting, smoke barriers, and special hazard protection. Other changes help provide for safer, more homelike health care facilities. Occupancy requirements will be reviewed in class activities and case studies. (1.2 CEU)
