Course Description:

A one day, 6 hour (.6 CEUs) course reviewing key code aspects of the basic layout of the International Building Code, International Existing Building Code and A117.1 utilization of certification information to schedule, use of the table of contents, index and referenced standards of the International Codes; and examination of test taking strategies related to taking multiple choice exams. 

Learning Objectives:

Students completing Inspecting and Managing Special Events will:

• Utilize the appropriate certification information to schedule, test and become certified as an Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner.
• Demonstrate the uses of the table of contents, index and referenced standards of International Building Code, International Existing Building Code and A117.1 to answer code questions
• Synthesize and incorporate test-taking strategies related to taking multiple choice exams.
• Utilize test taking strategies such as “Key Word” and Phrases” in a test question.
