Course Description:

A one-day course (0.6 CEU) classifying the organization and planning of the temporary structures and facilities including building and life safety features, activities, personnel that will be utilized and emergency response procedures.

Learning Objectives:

Students completing Inspecting and Managing Special Events will:

• appraise and discuss the different types of potential event types and their hazards.
• compare and contrast what emergency procedures are appropriate for any particular event.
• examine and mitigate potential hazards prior to and during the event.
• utilize and institute the appropriate aspects of their locally adopted building codes.
