Understanding the 2021 International Residential Code: Plumbing

Description: A one-day (0.6 CEU) course discussing the plumbing provisions of the International Residential Code. The inspectors will be able to determine requirements for the supply and drainage systems covering plumbing fixtures, water heaters, backflow protection, venting, and pipe distribution. The course discusses common issues found during inspection including freezing, pipe protection, drainage, proper material selection.

Learning Objectives: Students successfully completing International Residential Code – Plumbing will:

Identify and utilize plan review, inspection and code application during the design process.
Participate in the discovery, use, application, intent and rationale of the code illustrated and modeled in class problem-solving exercises.
