Description: A six-day training (3.6 CEU) series predetermined for municipal inspectors and design professionals. This course administers comprehensive instruction and illustration of the use, application, intent and rationale of the 2021 International Building Code, and is recommended for gaining insight for plan review, inspections, and code application implemented during the design process. This course incorporates instructor led differentiated activities, instruction and discussion.

Learning Objectives: Students successfully completing the 2021 International Building Code six-day course will:

• Identify and relate insight needed to evaluate and execute plan review, inspection and code application during the design process
• Observe and participate in demonstrations and modeling of use, application, intent and rationale of the code in conjunction with instructor led differentiated activities
• Discern and examine current Use and Occupancy, Fire-Resistive Rated Construction, Means of Egress, Special Occupancies and additional precluded chapters of the International Building Code
